This is the Metaverse Society’s 2025 Summer Index.

We decipher trends of the hashtag #AI, virtual worlds and web3 ecosystems, without hogwash but with our own twist of drinking too much deeptech kool-aid too often.

You might feel a canicule, see the rush for survival spritzes, mais non — our index tells a far more temperate tale. More like a summer afternoon in the shade of the platanes: no real sweat, and even when fans appear, they’re pure theatre — a touch of performance art in this season’s hype.
